    • Since 2011, our client has been the leading Prime General Contractor for Federal projects in CONUS and OCONUS locations. Having completed over 840 million dollars of construction projects they are heavily focused on Safety and building high-quality, well-managed projects.
    • The Construction Project Manager will be a key player for this local team in Boston, MA. The Construction Project Manager will play a vital role for the successful delivery of several design-build elevator modernization projects located throughout the Northeast.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide project management for a portfolio of elevator modernization projects spanning the East Coast.
    • Manage elevator, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, and roofing subcontractors to deliver successful construction projects to our government customers.
    • Prepare and manage project schedules, estimates, and budgets.
    • Make weekly or biweekly visits where applicable, reviewing submitting and drawings for Code and specification compliance, approving payments and witnessing tests.
    • To monitor site activities such as checking inspection, measurement, and supervision of works to comply with specifications, drawings, and programs to achieve target progress and quality.
    • Communicates and confirms clear stakeholder understanding of scope, cost, and timeline and ensures project is completed on time and on budget.
    • Supervises subordinate staff and consultants to include recommending applicant selection, disciplinary actions, resolution of grievances, assigning duties, directing work, conducting performance evaluations, approving timesheets and leave requests, and ensuring necessary subordinate training is provided.
    • Oversees coordination activities, establishes schedule priorities, identifies access requirements, and work area allocation, ensures work is performed safely and meets or exceeds scheduled completion dates.
    • Reviews and comments on the project scope, cost, management, resource allocation, and schedule to ensure that program needs are properly met, and the project goal is aligned with those needs and continues schedule and on budget.
    • Coordinates all major events on the project by assisting various offices to solve problems with mutually dependent items, holds meetings and conferences when necessary.
    • Leads these meetings to ensure stakeholders' involvement and operational awareness.
    • Assists supporting offices in obtaining major approvals and agreements from local, county, state and federal jurisdictions and agencies to ensure project schedules and goals are met in accordance with regulatory approval and concurrence.
    • Assigns detailed work tasks to staff members and subcontractors ensuring proper allocation of skilled resources.
    • Analyzes project status and takes appropriate steps to ensure projects are on time and on budget.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred; In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a high school diploma or GED and 8+ years' experience in overall technical project management for engineering, elevator and/or commercial/federal construction projects.
    • Proven experience in Project Management within the government construction sector.
    • Experience in elevator modernization or renovation projects required.
    • Secret security clearance
    • Top-Secret Security Clearance preferred.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
    • Travel Required

    Compensation:

    • Base salary up to 175k/year, flexible dependent on federal project experience
