    Business Development Representative – Construction - Base Salary to 95k/year – Philadelphia, PA

    • Our client, a consulting business is in need of a Business Development Representative to help in their current growth. As a Business Development Representative, you will be assigned to a specific client in the Utility and Construction Industry. This Full-Time position offers a partial remote work option but, requires at least 50% presence at the Corporate Office in Wilmington, DE.
    • The Business Development Representative will play a crucial role in fostering the business growth of the client by exploring and assessing new opportunities, and as such, the candidate must demonstrate a genuine desire and passion with the commitment to excel and facilitate the business growth of the client. In addition, the successful candidate must have a curiosity about the Utility and Construction industry and cultivate relationships with potential clients, engaging with key decision-makers, nurturing existing connections, thereby delivering customized solutions and services to meet our client’s needs.
    • The Business Development Representative must be willing and able to Implement innovative strategies to uncover new opportunities including extensive prospecting for qualified leads with the view to targeting new clients and potential customers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identifying and fulfilling Request for Proposal (RFP) opportunities
    • Crafting proposals
    • Submitting and monitoring bid progress
    • Supporting marketing initiatives,
    • Attending Utility and Construction related conferences to attract new clients
    • Collaborating with the Operations team to address client’s concerns
    • Staying informed with trends in the Utility Services and Construction industries to better service our client

    Qualifications:

    • Proficient in working autonomously with a proactive mindset for identifying and pursuing new business prospects for the client
    • Possess strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to formulate and execute effective prospect strategies and plans.
    • Maintain a sharp focus on goals with a determined approach to achieving them.
    • Knowledgeable in relevant software/CRM tools, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to handle and address objections and be open to coaching.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field
    • Proven experience or similar role in the Utility and Construction industry
    • Knowledge and experience with Staffing Utility Construction Projects, including public sewer, water, and utility installation projects
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 75k – 95k/year range, plus bonus
