Plant Controller – Manufacturing – Base Salary to 130k/year – Del Rio, TX

• Our client, a well-established Building Products manufacturer is currently seeking a bilingual (English/ Spanish) Plant Controller with strong cost accounting skills to oversee the production to finance connections. Our client is an inspiring global leader in architectural building products with 70+ years of experience supporting a wide range of markets
• In this role, the Plant Controller will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely publishing of internal and external financial statements & supervising a small team. This position is based in Del Rio, TX, commuting to Acuna, Mexico.

Responsibilities:

• Cost analysis, management of costs and effective allocation of resources
• Financial reporting and general ledger maintenance & improvements
• Monthly, quarterly and year end close and financial reporting
• Balance sheet accounts reconciliation
• P&L analytics & comparisons
• Budget and forecasting activities including capital spending
• Site activities as relates to cost
• Liaison for annual external audit staff and external tax consultants
• Assist Corporate Controller and CFO in actively engaging with finance teams
• Drive & implement costing & process transformation
• Identify savings opportunities - labor efficiency and material / expense spend
• Participate in physical inventories
• Maintain internal controls &continuously improving accounting processes
• Establish goals for self & finance staff

Qualifications:

• Fully bi-lingual (Spanish & English) Written and Spoken
• Bachelors in accounting; CPA a plus
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; cost accounting
• In depth understanding of GAAP, local statutory requirements (e.g. Maquiladora) & Internal Controls
• Strong ERP Skills (Oracle & Hyperion / FCCS Experience Preferred) & MS Office
• Experience in budgeting, standard cost rate development, general ledger/accounting, management reporting, variance analysis, payroll tax and VAT reporting, and general business issues.
• Excellent written & verbal communications skills, grammar, punctuation, tact and diplomacy; able to conduct effective meetings at any level
• Ability to organize and manage multiple and diverse projects
• Strong management/leadership skills; able to lead people and get results through others; extreme dependability and reliability
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Comfortability commuting from Del Rio, TX to Acuna, Mexico

Compensation:

• Base salary up to 130k/year depending on candidate experience and fit to role
• Bonus program 10%
