INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE – INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT SALES & SERVICE - BASE SALARY TO 65K/YEAR - HOUSTON, TX

Our client is the #1 small motor repair shop in the Houston, TX area.  They have been in business for over 50 years and work with clients from South Texas to Louisiana.   They specialize in sales and service of electric motors (industrial, commercial) pumps, machines, gear boxes, etc.  They are in search of an Inside Sales Representative/Industrial Production Assistant to work directly with the VP of Sales.  This is a “hands-on” position focusing on sales, customer service, working with vendors, working in the production department, etc.  Strong compensation package including a base salary in the 50k - 65k/year range, plus a profit sharing, 401k, excellent benefits package, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work directly side by side with the VP of Sales – Will provide excellent training
• Preparing pump/parts quotations and complete pump quote packages.
• Inventory management, Warehouse help, working with vendors, data entry, etc.
• Process telephone orders.
• Assist outside sales personnel
• Customer Service
• Learns and evaluates customer’s needs and preferences
• Monday through Friday 7am – 5pm (may need some after hours work)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 year college degree required – preferably in Industrial Distribution, but open to other degrees as well.
• 1+ years of inside Sales or counter sales experience preferred
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn the industry
• Ideal person will have some knowledge/experience of industrial pumps, motors and/or related equipment.
• Customer Service and communications strengths are a must
• Must be outgoing, motivated, willing to be on the phone and also willing to step into the warehouse when needed.

COMPENSATION: 

• Base salary 50k – 65k/year range
