ABOUT THE BUILDING TECHNOLOGIST POSITION

Allana Buick & Bers is looking for a seasoned Building Technologist to join our Oahu team. This individual would be responsible for:

-Assisting fellow engineers and consultants with engineering design tasks including development of plans, calculations, cost estimating and technical specification review

-Observing construction activities and document conformance with approved construction drawings/plans, project requirements, standards, and specifications

-Reporting exceptions or deviations from approved plans, specifications and/or construction issues to project manager, construction contractor supervisor and/or other appropriate parties

-Preparing prompt and accurate daily reports summarizing daily field operations/installations, plan deviations and corrective actions

BUILDING TECHNOLOGIST REQUIREMENTS

-Experience in construction observation with a civil engineering consulting or construction management firm

-Ability to obtain and record field data and compile field reports

-Ability to interpret specifications and working drawing and convey intent to contractor

-Experience with waterproofing and/or below grade waterproofing highly preferred

-Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
