Saturday Dispensing Nurse The Dispensing Nurse is responsible for providing patient care through the safe and accurate dispensing of methadone prescribed by the Medical Director/provider in our outpatient treatment facility. The dispensing nurse will assist in the entering or adjusting of orders as necessary under the Medical Director and be responsible for accurate and thorough reporting consistent with the organization's policies and procedures. Applicants should have methadone dispensing experience within a Substance Use Treatment Facility and be familiar with Methasoft. Hours 4:45 am to 9:30 am Saturdays only. The applicant must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing as an LPN or RN. Responsibilities: • Prepares and administers medication to program patients, maintaining essential medication inventory records and logs in compliance with State and Federal regulations. • Observe and appropriately record/report changes in a patient's condition. • Coordinates medical treatment by providing medical information to other services (hospitals, inpatient facilities, correctional facilities, etc.). • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Medical Director. Qualifications: • The applicant must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing as an LPN or RN. • Must possess excellent verbal, written, and communication skills. • Be familiar with the dispensing of liquid methadone. • Be proficient with Methasoft. Compensation: $28 - $31 hourly
