    Job Description

    The Project Manager is a member of the Service Excellence, Procurement Solutions team and is accountable to and works in conjunction with the Executive and Director, Service Excellence and, where appropriate, partners with the functional leader(s) to define scope, articulate deliverables, and manage the execution of Workforce Classification projects. The PM will have management responsibility of the Consultants, Procurement Solutions who will execute AGS deliverables as required. The PM is the primary owner of the project plan for all stated deliverables for client workforce classification projects. The PM will identify and work closely with work stream leads to set the timeline and deliverables and cadence of touchpoints. The PM determines the tasks that must be completed, manages overall project plan execution, and is responsible through recommendation and may be required to assist with change management and implementation.

    Responsibilities

    • Partners with Service Excellence Executive(s), client delivery teams, and the client to define classification project scope, goals and deliverables that support client business goals.
    • Clarifies project success criteria and disseminates them to stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
    • Leads the development and management of the project work plan, including work sequencing, work breakdown structure, work delivery schedule, and resource allocation.
    • Estimates the resources needed to achieve project goals. e.g. project team members, subject matter experts and technology tools.
    • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.
    • Manages the project team and deliverables and advises senior leadership of project status, recommendations, and how and when to course correct.
    • Adheres to methods, procedures and quality objectives including metrics for assessing progress and provides recommendations on process improvements.
    • Monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule.
    • Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
    • Communicates risks, needs, and status to stakeholders
    • Leads and develops Consultants against portfolio of active projects and future career development.
    • Serves as a consultant to business partners on effective classification and reclassification execution best practices
    • Takes a lead role in aligning to internal change management practices and collaborates with internal functional teams through the process including informing impacted GBS support teams and soliciting support as needed.

    Essential Abilities/Skills:

    • Ability to think critically and solve problems
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines
    • Ability to develop consensus amongst diverse groups
    • Partner and advise senior leadership
    • Strong planning experience and project management certification preferred
    • Strong presentation and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of organizational change management principles
    • Knowledge of services procurement best practices including workforce classification, SOW rate strategies, and supplier management strategies
    • Proven track record of managing projects; Awareness of PMBOK and effective application of project management methodologies (desired)
    • 5+ years project management experience, MSP program leadership experience or equivalent business management experience (desired)
    • 3 years of Allegis Group company experience (desired)

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • PMP certification (desired)
