    Job Description

    The Automation Business Process Consultant serves as a functional expert on automation projects, project management, documentation, business process analysis, and stakeholder management to ensure successful implementations and steady state status of projects.

    The Automation Business Process Consultant will be expected to have strong project management skills, demonstrate technical acumen and an understanding of RPA tools, understand business objectives, business processes and challenges and data architecture.

    The Consultant will help identify opportunities for process optimization and oversee the discovery, development of use cases, documentation, planning and enablement of automation project workflows from beginning to end. The Consultant is skilled at leveraging internal resources and organizational expertise to ensure each initiative meets the requirements to improve business outcomes through automation. They will ensure specified deliverables are achieved, and subsequently showcase project successes (case studies) to highlight digital transformation achievements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Performs internal and external client workshops to assess the technical feasibility and value of automating business processes.
    • Analyzes and documents as-is processes and designs desired to-be processes.
    • Defines the high-level solution and acts as functional expert on the project.
    • Plans and coordinates operational tasks for seamless project management and execution with internal stakeholders and developers.
    • Supports initiatives by facilitating project coordination, co-ordination of project teams, and aligning/tracking deliverables.
    • Develops scoping documents for each initiative, plans, creates schedules based on project timelines and follows-up as needed.
    • Determines and documents ROI data points on the projects, as appropriate.
    • Work with the customer to consider other components of the holistic solution, including end user training covering changes to both business processes and IT.
    • Oversees the development of documentation and internal reporting.
    • Participates in meetings and makes recommendations on content and scope of the projects.
    • Assures that notes and documentation are distributed to all project participants in a timely manner.
    • Oversees agreed upon change management plan and ensures effective implementation of the plan for successful program launch and buy-in from all affected areas of the business.
    • Facilities and drives the project calls; scheduling, save the dates, and meeting minutes.
    • Maintains an inclusive, transparent, and friendly team atmosphere.

    • Effective presentation skills up to senior executive teams
    • Confidence in taking ownership of the project scope and driving to completion
    • Effective communication skills with key stakeholders and developer resources
    • Relies on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals
    • Ability to manage a variety of tasks across multiple objectives and able to prioritize projects
    • Proven ability to manage competing deliverables on-time
    • Strong business acumen and change management skills
    • Excellent written and oral communications skills
    • Ability to quickly build relationships.
    • Strong client interface and presentation skills.
    • Manages customer expectations effectively.
    • Has a passion for learning and is a constant student of their craft
    • Must be organized and able to track projects consistently and meet deadlines
    • Takes initiative and can work independently, as well as find resources and leverage relationships to get work done
    • Proficient with MS Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc)
    • Willing to travel as required (up to 25%)
    • Familiarity of Staffing Services (such as MSP, RPO, Procurement, etc.) (preferred)
    • Experience with process mapping, deconstruction, and analysis. (preferred)
