    Job Description

    INTERNSHIP COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

    In this entry-level role, Internship Coordinators will have the opportunity to make a difference with students and graduates by helping them meet their career goals through a strategic partnership.  Internship Coordinators will work to develop internship opportunities for students via telemarketing and personal visits to employers, events, direct mail/email campaigns and direct referral to existing base. The Internship Coordinator will manage internship and graduate clearance activities and maintain student files and audit attendance. The Internship Coordinator must also be comfortable and confident delivering professional development training workshops for students, including use of alumni and business community. 

    DAILY REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Professional Development:

    • Conduct individual and group advising sessions with Allen School students including internship registration, workshops, and exit interviews

    • Assists in monitoring progress towards the achievement of the student’s goals, objectives, and timelines

    • Coordinate internship site-student placement

    • Facilitate internship and graduate clearance processes

       

      Employer and Student Outreach

    • Provide ongoing feedback to students with respect to their progress on internship

    • Perform job development outreach calls to medical professionals to ensure consistent working relationships between medical offices and the Allen School

    • Complete follow-up phone calls to interns and internship sites

    • Complete internship site visits and plan and facilitate calls to cultivate new internship site agreements

    • Plan and conduct employer visits and share information when appropriate within the school to aid in development of curriculum and successful outcomes for graduates.

     
    

    Data Collection/Other

    • Assist with day-to-day operations within Career Services office including administrative responsibilities and data collection

    • Maintain timesheets and evaluations, audit hourly attendance records for internship students

    • Establishes working relationships and attends meetings as necessary to represent the school in state, local, and professional communities for the program or area assigned

    • Assist with employment verification documentation as necessary

    KEY CORE REQUIREMENTS

    • Associates Degree Required, Bachelors Preferred

    • 0 – 3 years of Career Services experience, preferably in the post secondary school industry

    • 1-3+ years of administrative experience Dedicated to providing an exceptional student/graduate experience

    • Possess a sincere interest in helping others achieve their career goals

    • Basic to intermediate level of CampusVue or related educationally related computer program or ability to grasp CampusVue within 60 days of employment.
