We are seeking a licensed structural engineer to work in an office setting and provide various types of support to our team. As a structural engineer with AEC, you will primarily be responsible for the structural review and design of residential and commercial plans and other client-centric tasks, including, but not limited to, sending follow-up emails, setting up auto-responders, and general customer support. You will be working with and eventually managing a design team that is already in place. The ideal candidate will proactively offer feedback and suggestions to enhance the client experience, helping the company meet its goals.  Finally, you should be able to manage administrative projects and produce high-quality work with little supervision. Work Terms: Employment Type: Full Time with salary plus benefits package. Responsibilities: • Review and/or create high-quality, detailed technical layouts and plans based on designs supplied by the client, architect, and contractor using AutoCAD Revit software. Site visits and inspections to collect data and/or approve fieldwork completed by the client. • Interpret the designs and construction methodologies needed as per the given scope of work of the client. • Guide and develop a growing design template library. • Create, compile, and store data and specifications sheets. • Creation, proofreading, editing, and organization of documents and files. • Manage follow-up emails and be an excellent communicator with customers and in-house personnel. • Provide responsive and high-quality customer and technical support. Qualifications: • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • Professional Engineer Licensure in Civil Engineering in the state of Tennessee. • 3-5 years of experience in the residential and commercial structural design and construction field. • Certification/degree and/or extensive experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit. • Some experience in grading plans and erosion control. • Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Professional engineers license in other surrounding states.
