Jr. Compliance Analyst - Asset Management (Entry Level)
THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION) As a member of the Compliance Team, a Junior Compliance Analyst will primarily be responsible for providing general administrative support as well as performing complex and confidential secretarial duties. RESPONSIBILITIES -Main duty will be a support administrative role filing, photocopying, and scanning documents covering sensitive and personal information (primarily resident files) that will be stored on a secured computer server. -Required to work in a team environment supporting the Senior Compliance Analyst and Director to meet department goals and deadlines. -Maintain an organized system for correspondence and reports. -Field/answer questions about the compliance review process. -Anticipates and prepares for compliance storage needs. -Assemble and process annual tenant file request packages and other compliance related requests. -Maintain various file storage systems and compliance data in Alliant Central Station (ACS) database exception reports to ensure the integrity of all data. -Other job duties or special projects as needed or assigned. KEY QUALIFICATIONS -Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures, and know how to operate standard office equipment at a level generally acquired through 1+ years' related experience. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, including excellent spelling, grammar, and proof reading abilities. -Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, organized; sets priorities; meets deadlines; able to multi-task; carefully proofs own work. -Must have a professional appearance, demeanor and customer service attitude. -Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations independently or on a team. -Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. -Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. -Must be able to type a minimum 40 wpm accurately. -Position requires the candidate to use good independent judgment, discretion, and work independently and accurately with an attention to detail including the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. -Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work. -Good with basic math skills. -Familiarity with housing subsidy programs such as the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, Section 8 (4350.3 Handbook), or HOME is preferred. -A LIHTC certification is preferred. COMPUTER SKILLS -Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook including problem solving and analytical skills required. -Imanage experience a plus. EDUCATION (The following minimum level of experience is required.) -High school diploma or equivalent. -Secretarial or Administrative Professional certification preferred. -Current college student or some college course work preferred.
