    Job Description

    The Customer Service & Contracts Representative will join the customer service team. The successful candidate will engage with customers to process orders and quotations, invoice orders, organize and manage contract activities, and report to the Customer Service Manager. The work is "hands on", fast paced, creative and enjoyable.

    CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

    • Thorough knowledge of customer service functions including order processing, emailing, invoicing, etc.
    • Understanding of computers and ERP software (we use SAP)
    • Ability to read and understand complex documents such as purchase orders and government contracts
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with customers
    • Problem-solver, self-starter, fast, goal oriented, highly organized, and team oriented
    • Friendly and engaging with customers
    • Track record of continuous improvement and quality performance
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
    • Demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timeliness

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Complete and respond to government quotation opportunities
      • Compare with quotation done by salesperson to ensure the statement of work matches
      • Fill in the formal RFQ with pricing and information
      • Answer the compliance and legal questions on each RFQ relating to Allied’s information and company status (SAM.gov info)
      • Provide appropriate published price lists for the equipment quoted
    • Enter the orders received as a result of these RFQ’s
    • Process (confirm/acknowledge/enter/invoice) orders through various online customer portals (SPS Commerce, Ariba, etc.)
    • Invoice government orders through online portals
    • Complete vendor forms with Allied information
    • Research new customers to approve terms
    • Fill out quality forms for ISO companies
    • Input show leads and send to salespeople
    • Search government bid websites for opportunities
