Just minutes away from Charlotte our facility in Matthews NC is looking for Landscape Foremen to supervise year-round crews who perform landscape maintenance services in the Charlotte area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Supervise and train maintenance crews on all aspects of grounds management services
2. Mowing, raking, digging and weeding of landscapes
3. Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks
4. Schedule and monitor daily work loads
5. Bagged and Bulk Material handling
6. Schedule and monitor daily work loads of Bland Landscaping employees and our subcontractors
7. Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and materials each day
8. Perform and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings
9. Submit daily BOSS Mobile Timesheet
10. Administrative Paperwork
11. Truck and Trailer standardization and cleanliness
12. Use of technology for communication
13. Communicate daily with Production Manager on progress and planning
14. Daily start up and shut down procedures
15. Job Quality
16. Hours management
17. Safe driving of company-owned vehicles (with or without trailers)
18. Ability to adjust irrigation controllers and basic knowledge of irrigation components

1. Maintain on site relations and communications with clients, contractors and subcontractors

• Mowers - Push, walk behind and riding
• Tillers, aerators, slit seeders
• Edger, string trimmers, chipper and chain saws
• Backpack blowers and sprayers
• Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and pruning tools
• On occasion wheel tractors

2. May be asked to help in other divisions
3. Participate in snow removal in the winter months

Required Skills

1. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
2. Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis
3. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
4. Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks
5. Must wear work boots, Bland landscaping uniforms and present yourself in a clean and professional manner
6. Must be able to work with minimal supervision
7. Must practice safety at all times
8. Must wear company-provided PPE
9. Must have valid NC Driver’s license and maintain a good driving record
10. Must pass a criminal background check
11. Must be willing to obtain NC Pesticide applicators license
12. Must have good communication skills and the ability motivate others
13. Must comply with Bland Landscaping policies and procedures
