Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Traveling Veterinarian Technician to join our surgery team at our private successful practice. In this role, you will travel to various Jacksonville veterinary hospitals that schedule our mobile surgeries. Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating patient care, and monitoring patient recovery. You will work closely with the entire team to ensure our pet patients' health and well-being. Responsibilities

Triage pets as they arrive at the visiting clinic.

Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history.

Take vital signs and acquire blood samples.

Set up & Assist with surgeries

Monitor patients pre & post-surgery.

Administer medications and provide ICU along with pre & post-patient care.

Provide discharge instructions for clients.

Keep accurate anesthesia and patient records.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician, and surgery experience is imperative

Knowledge of animal care and handling

Excellent communication skills

Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment

Patience and a love for animals

Client services experience
