    Job Description

    Allied West Paper Corp. (AWP) is an industry-leading, FSC®-certified paper converter producing innovative bath tissue, paper towels, paper napkins, and facial tissue for the retail and commercial markets. We have an immediate opening for an Customer Service Representative to join our fast paced, growth oriented manufacturing company.

    The Customer Service representative position provides support to the shipping department by entering orders and processing invoices as requested. General office support with a variety of clerical activities including receptionist responsibilities such as greeting visitors and answering the main telephone line for the company.

    • Enter customer orders received by email, fax or EDI system. Review, print and enter incoming PO received from customers into customer file(s).
    • Process order revisions as requested per shipping, or customer(s) edit: (quantities, pricing, change of dates or item substitutions). Follow up with management on any revised order pending.
    • Communicate with customer and adjust if orders are not a full truck (26 to 28 pallets or half of a truck 13 to 14 pallets.)
    • Follow up with customers/ sales reps on pending customer issues.
    • Verify customer purchase orders, item numbers, quantities, billing, and shipping information.
    • Assist customer on issues related to credit checks, order status issues, product availability and/or other issues as needed.
    • Confirm with shipping department to verify lead times requiring less than 7 days.
    • Assist in pulling sample orders and prepare for shipping.
    • Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate extension.
    • Get mail upon arrival.
    • Prepares packages and schedules FedEx pickups.
    • Directs visitors by maintaining department directories.
    • Maintain updated visitor logs.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum one year experience working as CSR/Receptionist
    • High School Diploma/GED
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Strong customer service focus
    • Strong verbal and listening communication
    • Professional etiquette
    • Collaborating skills
