Allied Wire and Cable is growing and now is the perfect time to join our Sales Team! We are currently hiring a Sales Support Specialist to support our Sales Department. If you have a passion for performing behind the scenes work, acting as a liaison and performing administrative work, we may have the right opportunity for you! This is a great opportunity to take your career to the next level, while working closely with our in-house sales team and clients!  JOB DETAILS:

• Assist the Sr. Sales Representative and Account Managers in processing national and international orders in a timely manner
• Communicate with vendors for quotes, special order pricing, follow up on projects and other customer driven orders
• Accurately enter orders
• Expedite rush orders in collaboration with our distribution centers in various locations throughout the United States
• Update the internal pricing system and Salesforce with the most accurate and available information
• Process and follow internal forms
• Answer phone calls, routing calls and other various office duties

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma
• Six months to 1 year of related experience is a plus
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email and in person
• High level of email etiquette
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Strong problem solving skills and independent/critical thinking skills
• Excellent telephone skills
• Computer knowledge with proficiency in word processing, MS Office and Salesforce
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
