We have immediate full time and part time positions for professionals of varying educational and experience backgrounds in the community and our Hammonton office. Positions available in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Essex, Gloucester, Salem Counties.

    The ideal Behavioral Technician candidate will help youth with developmental disabilities with acquiring, retaining, improving and generalizing the behavioral, self-help socialization and adaptive skills necessary to function successfully in the home and community. These skills range from hygiene and other self care activities to interacting with others in comfortable ways and other life skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implementing interventions listed in the Behavioral Intervention Plan or the Individual Support Plan
    • Teaching daily activity skills to the youth such as self-care skills, housework, medication management, budgeting, use of technology, shopping, transportation, etc.
    • Serving as a liaison between the youth, family and community services (school, work, community mental health professionals, medical providers, etc.).
    • Documenting the youth's progress in notes after every session
    • Participating in staff development programs to learn new skills relevant to working with children and youth who have behavioral needs.

    Qualifications:

    • Fluency in Spanish, American Sign Language or another language preferred; English speakers welcome to apply as well
    • Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, guidance and counseling, social work preferred; minimum requirement is High School diploma with experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
    • At least one year of supervised experience in implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching activities of daily living for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities
    • Ability to collaborate with a team by communicating via email, text, phone or virtual meeting
    • Proficient in using online services and Office 365 including Outlook Email, Word and Excel
    • Ability to complete DAP notes and other required documentation within required deadlines
    • Willingness to provide services in person at private homes in the community within a minimum of 30 minutes from your home
    • NJ criminal history check and NJ child abuse clearance required
    • Valid driver's license
