Certified Pharmacy Technician
A large managed care organization has a Full-time position for PharmacyTechnician.
Must have one years of related work experience, including data entry along with excellent communication skills, and professional demeanor. Interact with internal and external customers in a courteous manner in person and via telephone.
Ideal candidate background look like- a positive, well spoken, and multi-tasking capable technician with prior pharmacy experience.
Prior pharmacy/infusion experience is preferred and needs to be a Texas board of pharmacy licensed technician.
-Enter prescriptions and verify appropriate and accurate information
-Contact patients, pharmacists, and doctor’s offices to resolve claims issues
-Process prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
-Resolve customer issues; ensuring accurate information is provided
-Contact members / patients to validate data, resolve rejected claims, request payment information, establish priority of order or delivery details, consult on medication issues, and set up treatment in on-site facilities
-Interpret provider prescription and create order, access, input and retrieve prescription and medical / lab information from computer system, verifies whether order / drug is reimbursable / covered
-Lifting up to 30 lbs. continuously
• Use multiple computer systems to obtain pharmacy orders, compare to order received and produce mailing labels
• Utilize the best method for product packing and shipping based on standard procedures to include type of packaging, unique conditions (i.e. refrigeration), etc. to ensure safe and secure delivery
• Prepare manual prescription orders by verifying information, pulling appropriate prescription drugs from inventory and complete necessary scanning and packaging as necessary
• Maintain various machines and equipment (e.g. IPD machines, auto packing machines)
