    Clinical Pharmacist for contract to hire position

    Specific Duties:
    1. Perform verification of compounded and non-compounded medication dispensed for parenteral use in alternative care settings per physician orders. (This includes formula/medication calculations and dispensing records and visual verification per company protocol.)
    2. Dispense pharmaceutical supplies as appropriate to patients in alternate care settings. Maintains quality control requirements.
    3. Directly supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel in the appropriate compounding, packaging and labeling of compounded sterile products.
    4. Maximize the efficiency and productivity of the pharmacy and delivery operations using clear and effective communication interdisciplinary teams.
    5. Opportunity to review medication orders and evaluate appropriateness and completeness of orders with consideration given to the special needs and behaviors of the specific patient age group served.
    6. Opportunities for assessing patients at the initiation of drug therapy, develops a patient care plan and drug monitoring regimen and monitors the patient according to the care plan throughout the course of therapy and communicating with the patient, physician, nursing staff, other pharmacists and other members of the health care team regarding patient status, response to therapy and clinical objectives to ensure clinical outcomes are met
    7. Provides oversight of pharmacy technician and pharmacy support staff- in the sterile compounding suite. When required, compounds intravenous and specialty pharmaceuticals in an aseptic fashion according to established State Board of -Pharmacy, Federal, USP?797? sterile guidelines and company policy. Knowledgeable of the proper use and handling of both sterile and hazardous medications. Compounds and handles sterile and hazardous medications in accordance with established guidelines and regulations
    8. Ensures compliance with all FDA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, OSHA and other regulatory standards. Follows all department policies and procedures

    Must have qualifications/experience:
    1. Current unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Arizona
    2. BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree
    3. Strong drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge with 1+ year of pharmacy practice experience
    4. Ability to navigate MS Office and a Windows based environment and the ability to create, edit, save, and send documents utilizing Microsoft Word. Ability to navigate Outlook and conduct Internet searches
    5. Rotating Shifts, but must be able to rotate / work 8 hour shift between the hours of 7 - 7 with availability on occasional weekend shifts
    6. Home infusion or inpatient pharmacy service experience preferred.
    7. Knowledge of CPR+ prescription processing platform preferred.

    Shift Start/End Time: 10:30 am - 7pm

    Dress Code: Company provided laundered scrubs upon entering the building
