    A large managed care organization has an Ft dayshift CONTRACT  opportunity for a  professional and compassionate patient  registration rep  to work in a  busy doctor's office in Ft  Pierce Florida.  

    This position is the face of the clinic since the contractor will be sitting at the front desk greeting patients and answering multi-line telephone calls, will be working with a team of 13 total 4 Providers, 1RN, 1LPN, 1 Clinic Admin, 6 Med Assist.

    All employees will be required to be vaccinated for  COVID-19 

    Dress code- Teal or Gray Polo and Black Pants

    Pay: $16.00 

    CONTRACT:  now  for  6  months  

    Location: 2940 S US HIGHWAY 1 SUITE C11, FT PIERCE, FL

    Work hours are 8 am-5 pm Monday through Friday

    Qualifications:

    • High school graduate or GED required.
    • ICD 9 and CPT coding  experience  required
    • 2 years prior medical office or pharmacy tech exp including data entry, medical office procedures, and medical terminology.
    • Ability to accurately sort and file materials by alphabetic or numeric systems
    • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds job

    DUTIES :

    The Patient Services Rep is responsible for greeting patients and collecting, recording, and balancing payments. This position is the face of the clinic since the contractor will be sitting at the front desk greeting patients and answering multi-line telephone calls, will be working with a team of 13 total 4 Providers, 1RN, 1LPN, 1 Clinic Admin, 6 Med Assist

    1. Greets patients as they arrive and manages 20 minute wait time.
    2. Assists patient with intake processes including copying required documents.
    3. Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts.
    4. Manages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies.
    5. Processes walk-in patients and visitors.
    6. Answers phones and schedules appointments.
    7. Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule).
    8. Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed in a timely manner.
    9. Processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.
