Large managed care company looking to fill a contract role of Pharmacy Technician lasting through the beginning of May 2020.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN CANDIDATE  

EXPERIENCE

2+ years experience in the healthcare industry with preferred managed care experience, 1+ year of data entry experience

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and in health plan benefits, medical terminology, and Medicare guidelines is preferred.

Specific Duties:

Manage incoming specialty requests, review initial clinical information to determine if additional information is necessary prior to forwarding to reviewer and ensures consistent and timely flow of authorization process, provide eligibility, benefits, authorization history information, prescription/order, clinical information, and health plan criteria to reviewer for decision making, interacts with other healthcare professionals verbally and in writing, and supports and facilitates teamwork within the department/group and the organization.

EDUCATION

High School or GED Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician school preferred for Pharmacy Specialty Technician
