Candidate will be driving to different locations with San Diego County

Position Goal: Coordinate and participate in community outreach activities to drive membership growth.

Specific Duties
•Establish and cultivate relationships with community-based organizations, influencers and potential new customers
•Market the health plan at assigned events and locations within San Diego County, including food distributions, churches, retailers, health fairs and community events.
•Collect contact information from potential new customers at all assigned events
•Meet established goals for information collected and events attended
•Seek out new community outreach opportunities to meet established goals

Skills required
•Has basic knowledge of community marketing practices and procedures
•Can respond to routine or standard requests.
•Can use existing procedures and facts to solve routine problems
•Will seek out other team members for instruction, guidance or direction.
•Has basic skills in Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Office

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in community outreach preferred

Must have the ability to drive and travel within San Diego County 75-90% of their day.

Must have qualifications/experience:
1.Reliable transportation as daily travel within San Diego County is required (mileage is reimbursed)
2.Bilingual, fluent in English and either Spanish, Arabic, Farsi, Somali or Vietnamese

Start/End Time:
•Varied shifts; Hours depend on events calendar.
•Candidate will be working 15-30 hours per week. example -11-6, 12-1, 10-1)
•Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required.
