Large managed care company looking to fill a contract position for a Patient Care Coordinator lasting until approximately April 30th.

Specific Duties:
1 • Managing incoming specialty requests
2 • Reviews initial clinical information to determine if additional information is necessary prior to forwarding to reviewer and ensures consistent and timely flow of authorization process.
3 • Provides eligibility, benefits, authorization history information, prescription/order, clinical information, and health plan criteria to reviewer for decision making
4 • Interacts with other healthcare professionals verbally and in writing.
5 • Supports and facilitates teamwork within the department / group and the organization

Must have qualifications/experience:
1 • Knowledge of medical terminology
2 • 1 year data entry experience
3 • 2-3 years experience in the healthcare industry with preferred managed care experience.
4 • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications.
5 • knowledge of health plan benefits and Medicare guidelines

6 • Ability to manage competing priorities and work under significant time constraints

7. Knowledge with Manage Care HMO plans and Medicare; processing referrals, checking benefits and eligibility. Strong Data entry skills: typing speed and multitasking.

Shift Start/End Time: 8 AM to 5 PM

Dress Code: Business wear


This position will be a teleworking position but once the pandemic is over if we still have the temps they will be expected to return to the office with the rest of the staff.
