Large managed care company looking to fill a contract position for a Patient Registration Representative.

Specific Duties:
1. • Managing incoming specialty requests
2 • Reviews initial clinical information to determine if additional information is necessary prior to forwarding to reviewer and ensures consistent and timely flow of authorization process.
3. • Provides eligibility, benefits, authorization history information, prescription/order, clinical information, and health plan criteria to reviewer for decision making
4. • Interacts with other healthcare professionals verbally and in writing.
5. • Supports and facilitates teamwork within the department / group and the organization

Must have qualifications/experience:
1. • Knowledge of medical terminology
2. • 1 year data entry experience
3. • 2-3 years experience in the healthcare industry with preferred managed care experience.
4. • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications.
5. • knowledge of health plan benefits and Medicare guidelines

6. • Ability to manage competing priorities and work under significant time constraints

Shift Start/End Time: 8 AM to 5 PM
