A well-known managed care organization has a full-time contract opportunity for an experienced hands-on, outgoing, fun, CONTRACT TO PERMANENT opportunity for an experienced Health Coach who speaks Spanish fluently. Locations is an upscale hotel environment coaching their employees to improve their health.
Note: The client requires that you either need to be vaccinated or test twice a week
Smoking Cessation certification or experience and Diabetes experience is a plus. Contract to perm opportunity and a great team to work with.
Summary: Not a traditional health coach position. The right candidate is outgoing, friendly, professional, and willing to walk the halls of the hotel seeking out the employees.
The location is a luxury hotel where employees speak Spanish and need coaching to understand their benefits etc. Very hands-on position and opportunity to join a great team of coaches in a very supportive environment
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Contract : 3 months from hire
LOCATIONS/HOURS: 7 or 7:30 am – 3:30 or 4 pm. M-F.
2 hotel locations:
- Location 1: 4 days a week @ 1501 Gaylord Trail, Grapevine, TX 76051
- Location 2: 1 day a week @ 7121 Bishop Road, Plano, TX 75024
Qualifications:
- FLUENT Spanish speaking required-interview in Spanish
- Certified Health Educator OR Health Coach
- Experienced HEALTH COACH with Health Educator credentials
- OR Registered Dietician
- 3 years of experience in the health and wellness field
- Experience informal health education, health promotion, and health coaching
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Experience in motivational interviewing is a plus.
- A high energy level, with strong and effective presentation skills
DUTIES :
- Work closely with Client's Health/Wellness/HR team(s), Client's other healthcare partners, and other team members to meet the organization's health management goals.
- Provide onsite face-to-face employee coaching, support and education.
- Partner with Account Management, Client, and other matrix partners in evaluating present health management program and assist in formulating a plan to address gaps in strategy to reduce total medical cost.
- Assist in the identification of customer health education needs through health assessment activities.
- Collaborate with customers 1:1 around their behavior changes to improve health status, reduce health risks, and improve quality of life.
- May perform various biometric screenings, including finger sticks, blood pressure, body composition, etc. Utilize biometric values and motivational interviewing techniques to collaborate with customers to drive to improve clinical outcomes.
- Provide support for health-related site events, which include open enrollment, biometric screenings, wellness committee facilitation, flu shot events, health fairs, etc.'
