Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and professional DME/HME Delivery and Servicing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will transport, assemble, and provide in-home set up and servicing of Lift Chair Recliners, Home Hospital Beds, Electric Scooters and more from our store or warehouse locations to our clients homes or assisted living facilities. You ensure adherence to delivery schedules, provide best in class caring service, and perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate has experience driving and makes safety a number one priority and is also good with figuring out technical assembly or troubleshooting issues.
Responsibilities
Pick up materials and goods in one location and transport to another location.
Perform routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance of equipment and vehicle
Plan the safest and most efficient routes of travel
Adhere to delivery schedules
Maintain detailed driving log, including work periods, rest periods, and fuel expenses
Comply with all company policies and driving laws
Assist with receiving shipments of inventory, verify goods received, unpack, assemble, price, and stock shelves
Maintaining a log of all customer deliveries, service appointments, notes and follow up requests.
Calling customers with updates and follow ups for parts requests and service appointments
Performing diagnostic tests and reporting problems to manufacturers on clients behalf and following through to resolution of client needs.
Qualifications
Must be able to comfortably lift 75 lbs up/down a few steps (150lbs with second person)
Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products in order to perform and cover all work duties.
Previous experience as a Truck Driver is preferred
Previous experience in a technical setting where troubleshooting or problem solving was required is preferred
Valid California driver’s license (CDL)
Familiarity with GPS systems
Understanding of all relevant driving laws and regulations
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Willingness to drive long distances regularly (standard delivery range is within 20-40 miles from Walnut Creek)
MUST BE caring, patient, and comfortable working with seniors and people with disabilities or illness.
Although shifts may vary; the general work hours are Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and this job posting is for part time or full time (20-32 hours per week)
