Greater New York Agency Inc. is seeking a LICENSED SALES ASSOCIATE(LSP-I) to work in their Westchester County office supporting a new Insurance Agency subsidiary.  The LSP-I is an entry level insurance sales professional who will focus on personal lines of business. Working alongside the Managing Agent and other Licensed Sales professionals, the LSP-I will sell exclusively to individuals and families for primarily noncommercial purposes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Achieve customer acquisition, satisfaction and revenue growth objectives
• Approach potential clients by utilizing mailings and phone solicitation; making presentations to groups at company-sponsored gatherings; speaking publicly to community groups.
• Constantly update job knowledge and learn about new products and services, new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Contact customers to obtain and verify appointments.
• Articulate advantages and disadvantages of various products to promote the sales.
• Interview prospective clients to get data about their financial resources and discuss existing coverage.
• Participate in community events, as necessary.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals; process/submit changes in policies.
• Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media.

REQUIREMENTS

• NYS License required – Property and Casualty Agent – Personal Lines
• Proven ability to work with goals
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, influence and sell effectively
• General insurance product knowledge
• Dependability
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Advanced computer skills for applications that focus around social media and business productivity (i.e. MS Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Prior experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
• College Degree or in process of obtaining preferred
• Ability to read from scripts
