    Job Description

    • Process Design Engineer III - V

      • JOB DESCRIPTION

         
        
        Evaluate and design equipment and instrumentation and work with other disciplines to effectively install and startup these items
        
         
        
        This job includes the following duties:
        
        - Create mass and energy balances
        
        - Use engineering fundamentals to evaluate the performance of existing equipment
        
        - Use engineering fundamentals to correctly size equipment, piping and instrumentation
        
        - Create equipment specification sheets
        
        - Create instrument specification sheets
        
        - Create and/or revise P&IDs and PFDs
        
        - Work with other Engineering disciplines to refine equipment and instrument specification sheets
        
        - Generate process alternatives, if required, to meet process and economic requirements
        
        - Review equipment drawings from vendors and submit corrections and/or modifications, as needed
        
        - Revise and/or create DCS programming documentation
        
        - Revise and/or create operating procedures
        
        - Calculate emissions from the equipment
        
        - Create reports, as needed
        
        - Communicate with Operations, R&D, Technology Resources, Business, and HSE concerning the items above.
        
        - Help startup the equipment
