    VETERINARY PHARMACEUTICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

    Allura Global is currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Pharmaceutical Sales Representative in the Houston, TX region with experience to drive sales to veterinary customers and distribution partner sales teams. The ideal candidate must possess high motivation, an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for winning, leadership skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships to join our team! Candidates must have a proven track record of success in previous veterinary sales space.

     

    The primary role for this specific opportunity is to drive and expand the assigned territory customer base to exceed annual sales, revenue and gross profit goals. The Veterinary Pharmaceutical Sales Representative is responsible to drive key veterinary product sales and growth by selling across a defined geography and is the first line point of influence for veterinary and pet-care professionals in their geography.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Business Outcomes: lead sales calls with veterinary offices, labs, distributors and key pet-care business to drive sales.
    • Exceed daily/weekly and monthly sales call goals with key veterinary sales targets.
    • Strong veterinary product knowledge and ability to initiate the sales process by scheduling sales appointments, coordinate sales presentations and understand account requirements.
    • Organize and deliver high quality training for customers to increase product/brand awareness to drive sales.
    • Selling Skills: Deliver effective selling presentations using features and benefits along with various resources and tools to grow the volume and market share of the launch product.
    • Evaluate and continually share market strategies designed to enhance sales by monitoring competition/products.
    • Business Planning / Territory Management: Ability to navigate the territory with a business building mindset, creating advocates within the veterinary/pet-care industry.
    • Own sales routing /coverage for high value targets to deliver volume growth and market share for assigned product portfolio.
    • Represent company, products and brands at trade shows and events engaging with veterinary business partners.
    • Complete sales tracking/documentation & management of CRM database tool.
    • All responsibilities are expected to be delivered in an ethical manner aligned with all company, industry, federal, state and local guidelines.

    SUMMARY OF JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree (prefer animal sciences, veterinary, business or life sciences) from an accredited college or university.
    • MINIMUM 1+ YEAR SALES EXPERIENCE.
    • THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF THE COMPANION ANIMAL VETERINARY INDUSTRY, PREFERABLY WITH IN-CLINIC EXPERIENCE (VET TECH, LAB MANAGER, PRACTICE MANAGER)
    • Highly effective verbal & written communication skills.
    • Strong negotiating and strategic thinking skills.
    • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
    • Applicants should reside in and have a strong familiarity of the territory for which they are applying.
    • Ability to travel (less than 10% and will primarily be for Training, Team, Region, or National meetings)
