Job Description

Allurez is looking for a passionate Diamond Buyer to support our purchasing department with the selection and purchasing of Diamonds & Gemstones. Must have 1-3 years experience in the fine jewelry industry. The Diamond Buyer's responsibilities include maintaining positive vendor relations, placing and tracking purchase orders, negotiating prices, managing inventory and keeping track of market trends.

We believe to be a successful  Diamond Buyer, you should be confident, highly organized, excellent communicator and a team player. The outstanding Assistant Diamond Buyer has an analytical mind and excellent negotiating skills. This is a job position located in Great Neck, NY

Responsibilities Include: 

• Negotiating diamond prices from suppliers

• Ensuring diamonds are purchased at the right time, to specification and at a good price.

• Working with Rapnet and other such platforms

• Writing, placing and tracking purchase orders

• Sorting and counting small diamonds and helping out with production of jewelry 

• Other responsibilities as they arise.

Requirements:

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Punctual and reliable, with commitment, follow-through, accountable, finisher, completes tasks

• Team player, responding to, and supporting the team proactively for the best interests of our customers

• Knowledge of diamonds: Color, Cut, Weight and Clarity 

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

• Strong negotiation skills

• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
