Alma Consulting is a leading educational consultancy, specializing in helping high school students gain admission to the most prestigious universities across the nation. We advise on all aspects of the admissions process, from college list creation, essay workshops, essay editing, resume creation, interview preparation, and more.
Position Overview :
Looking for a highly qualified (US) college admissions expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of success in helping students navigate the college admissions journey. The candidate must come from an excellent educational background (T-30 undergraduate degree preferred).
Responsibilities :
- Provide personalized guidance to students throughout their college application process, including selecting target schools, developing application strategies, and helping to craft compelling essays.
- Conduct 1-on-1 consultations with students and their families to assess their strengths, interests, and goals, and tailor a customized admissions plan.
- Edit and polish application essays, personal statements, and supplemental materials to ensure clarity, coherence, and alignment with each university's specific requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; advanced degree preferred.
- Previous experience in college admissions consulting, essay editing, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for storytelling.
- Familiarity with the admissions processes of top universities and an understanding of what distinguishes successful applications.
Other details :
- This job is for an independent contractor. Hours are flexible, and the role is fully remote. Candidate should be willing to work on tight turnaround times, especially around the summer.
