SALES ENGINEER
Almex USA, a north Orange County engineering and industrial equipment manufacturing company, is looking for a skilled Sales Engineer to join our team of 30 personnel. This position will be responsible for many aspects of capital machinery and industrial equipment sales practices and processes in the business. Our goal is to promote the sale of the company’s Aluminum Casting Equipment, Metallurgical Knowledge and Technologies, and full casthouse capabilities to potential customers worldwide. To achieve this, the company strives to lead with a strong culture of excellence and respect, inside and out.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with customer engineering teams to evaluate their needs and determine system requirements to propose
- Preparation of complete technical and commercial proposals for equipment and services
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers
- Lead all marketing efforts and manage media, documents, powerpoints, photos, videos, drawings, website content and media, etc.
- Technical paper preparation, presentation, and conference participation
- Planning and participation at domestic and international tradeshows including coordination of exhibition booth design and logistics
- Undertake project engineering for recently awarded jobs including assisting with site layout planning, equipment design, and manufacturing coordination.
- Participate in new product development and market research
- Help customers troubleshoot and resolve problems with installed equipment and internal Field Service teams
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in Sales of Industrial Equipment, preferably related to the Aluminum industry– minimum 3 years experience
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, mechanical or electrical focus preferred. Civil or Aerospace backgrounds would also be relevant.
- Working knowledge of materials science or metallurgy would be a plus.
- Willing and able to travel - domestic or international up to 10% of the time
- Fully conversant with reading and understanding of engineering drawings and schematics
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken, both internal and customer-facing
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal teams including technical mechanical and electrical engineering departments
- Strong interest in technology understanding, development, and commercialization
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite & AutoCAD. Familiarity with Solidworks preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro is a plus
