    OPPORTUNITY 

    The company is experiencing aggressive growth through a global platform consolidation thus creating a need for a Human Resource/Office Admin Intern. We have established an Internship Program to contribute a Human Resource / Office Admin Summer Internship Program to contribute meaningfully to our Human Resource and Office Admin Departments. The Human Resource Intern will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations Human Resource and Office Admin departments. 

    Our privately held company has over 100 years of liquid sensing experience, is growing, and currently employs 230 team members in Houston Texas and 140 in Shanghai China and global headquarters is conveniently located in Houston at the southwest intersection of I-69 and Sam Houston Tollway, just north of Sugar Land.

    The HR / Office Admin Intern will report directly to Janet Baloochestani HR Directer and will have the opportunity to engage directly with the entire executive leadership team of AlpHa Measurement Solutions.

    Classification: Hourly, Seasonal Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and as required to maintain business momentum.

    CRITICAL PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
    • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
    • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
    • Provides clerical support to the HR and Office Adminstration departments.
    • May assist with payroll time edits, answering employee questions and assisting managers with collecting time from employees.
    • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
    • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
    • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events and holiday parties
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

     EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Recent graduate or actively pursuing (2022 expected graduation) Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Human Resource Management or other degrees related to Human Resources or Office management
    • Prior related office experience preferred.
