JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently hiring for an Escrow Assistant in our Kansas City, Missouri location. This position will function as a receptionist and initial greeter for our location. In addition to accepting all incoming calls and office visitors, the Escrow Assistant will complete all initial entry of all new orders that come into our office and assist processors and closers as needed.
JOB DUTIES:
- Make coffee daily and maintain the public areas, keeping them neat and clutter free
- Answer and direct all incoming calls
- Take and relay messages
- Greet, monitor, and direct all office visitors
- Learn and maintain the office’s client directory for each closer in the office
- Maintain daily office calendar by printing and posting daily schedule
- Receive all new contracts (New Orders). Print order and transfer all information to ResWare, our software system
- Prepare a neat, accurate paper file on each new order
- Initiate all new title orders and complete the first tasks in each file
- Match up Earnest Money Deposits to the correct file
- Send Earnest Money Receipts in a timely manner
- Monitor the progression of the file. Continues the files tasks when the title department has completed their steps
- Printing all new title commitments and sending title commitments to the proper parties
- Assist processors and closers as needed
- Order supplies and maintain a list of supplies that are low to place on order
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Great organizational skills
- Computer knowledge
- High school diploma required
- Previous office work experience preferred
