About the Data Analyst position
We are looking for a Data Analyst who will help us turn data into information, insights and business decisions based on the analysis results. Your responsibilities will include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design and also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
We expect you to possess analytical mindset with creative approach to tasks and the ability to find patterns and correlation when dealing with big volumes of information. You should also be able to work under a flexible schedule and report on your findings in a detailed and straightforward manner.
Data Analyst responsibilities are:
- Manage Salesforce report and visualizations, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency, effectiveness, forecasting and data quality
- Collect required data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports and visualizations
- Develop and build reports and analysis to support the requirements of the ministry development, finance, fund development and the executive team for all major course, donor and participant metrics
- Provide primary support for the users of existing data models for any trainings and questions
- Develop, maintain and ensure that proper documentation of Salesforce and PowerBI data models and data fields are in place
- Collaborate with the IT and Alpha International Digital team to ensure timely refresh, maintenance and validation of existing data models
- Retrieve information from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems (moving towards a single source of truth in Salesforce)
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Review Salesforce / PowerBI reports, visualizations, and performance indicators to locate and correct problems
- Find and evaluate new process improvement opportunities

Data Analyst requirements are:
- 2+ years' experience in positions on data analysis and data modeling or related areas
- At least 1 year of experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Salesforce, PowerBI, Tableau) and reporting tools
- Significant experience of working with data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Excellent knowledge of statistics and experience using data visualization for analyzing datasets, including Excel, PowerBI and Salesforce
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent skills in structured problem solving and ability to perform complex analyses and draw meaningful and actionable insights
- Demonstrated ability to understand multiple data sources and how they relate to each other
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft 365
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written at all levels with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail: ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills
- English language skills required
Education
- Bachelor's Degree
- Alpha experience is preferred
