This position is for our onsite print center on the campus of Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania - Bloomsburg Campus

We are seeking an entry level designer to handle customer files and requests and also to operate our digital printers. You will be responsible for job setup and printing using our cut-sheet digital printers. You will be in charge of calibrating printers and color-matching projects against our client's Pantone colors / previous jobs. You may also assist with the service and maintenance of the machines as needed.

Digital Print and Design Specialist Responsibilities:

Assisting with operating digital commercial printers using Fiery Command Workstation.

Assisting in our large format department with installations & production work when available

Works with Production Scheduler to prioritize and manage daily job production

Produces orders accurately, efficiently, and quickly while maintaining the highest quality standards

Updates job status and location in MIS system

Always runs a proof copy and compares it to the work order

Controls waste and redos by quality-checking jobs as they are being produced

Maintains a clean and organized work environment

Calibrates and manages all color devices as required to maintain color consistency.

Monitors color consistency during all print runs and make adjustments as necessary.

Reviewing files submitted by clients and when needed making adjustments for print utilizing InDesign software

Digital Print Production Operator Qualifications

Digital printing experience is a plus

Ability to organize several activities and tasks concurrently.

Ability to work flexible hours

Open to assisting with other areas such as bindery when needed

Graphic design skills

Customer service experience is a plus but not necessary
