Our tight-knit team in AlphaGraphics - US553 is actively seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join us full time. The Junior Graphic Design position is to support the design team in preparing print materials through prepress functions, while also mastering the XMPie system to create customized print solutions for clients. This role involves a combination of prepress preparation, graphic design collaboration, and continuous learning to contribute to the overall success of our design and production efforts.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:
Prepress Preparation: Conduct preflight checks, ensure correct color profiles, and optimize files for print production, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications. Working with sales team for quality assurance.
XMPie Custom Store Creation: Learn and utilize our XMPie system to develop custom storefronts for clients, facilitating personalized print ordering and customization experiences.
Graphic Design Support: Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing graphics, layouts, and artwork for various print materials, ensuring alignment with client branding and objectives.
Production Design Backfilling: Assist with production design tasks during peak periods or as needed, including layout adjustments, file preparation, and quality assurance checks.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, software updates, and best practices related to prepress, XMPie, and graphic design, actively seeking opportunities for skill development and growth.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Experience with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Publisher
Experience with personalized database printing (variable data printing) a plus
Strong written & verbal skills
Demonstrate a competence with Google Suite
Ability to work in a high-production, fast-paced environment
Ability to work flexible hours and overtime
Ability and willingness to learn new software and hardware technologies
