POSITION SUMMARY:
The Employee Benefits Sales Analyst is the point of contact for marketing Client Employee Benefits for existing and new business clients. Directly supports the general business operations of the Agency. The Sales Analyst will work closely with the Benefits Marketing & Strategy Manager with all new business and renewal functions including the go to market strategy with insurance carriers, discussions, and recommendations. In addition, the Sales Analyst will participate in insurance carrier calls and trainings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish professional and customer driven relationships with the Account Executives, Carrier partners (local and national) and General Agency (GA) vendors
- Coordinate and participate in pre-renewal discussions with the Agency Team for medical and supplemental products
- Attend weekly team meetings with the Benefit Team to discuss pre-renewal and new business updates as needed
- Collecting and requesting new business and renewal data to prepare for the request for proposal (RFP) marketing process.
- Submit the RFP data to the GA (General Agency) and/or Carriers for proposals
- Develop benefits new business and renewal strategy plans in collaboration with the Account Executives and Benefits Marketing and Strategy Manager
- Prepare renewal benefit comparisons and financial illustrations in coordination with the Benefits Marketing Manager for the client renewal process and discussions
- Maintain client data and updates in Salesforce
- Assist with various projects and assignments to continuously improve departmental efficiencies.
- Conduct audits and peer reviews of plan descriptions and financial spreadsheets as necessary.
- Ability to perform essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-year degree in a related field preferred
- Active 2-15 life and health license preferred
- Knowledge of national marketing with 3+ years of carrier, agency or PEO experience preferred
- Knowledge of alternate funding strategies a plus
- Good communication and organization skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
