Alt is on a mission to make investing in alternative assets as easy as investing in stocks. We are redefining alternative assets to include new asset classes that have historically been relegated to the territory of hobbyists and collectors, rather than investors. With Alt, we're turning sports cards – and eventually watches, sneakers, and art – into investable assets.

Some professional athletes, including Kevin Durant, Larry Fitzgerald, and Tobias Harris all across different sports have also invested in Alt.

The impact you will make: As the Lead Mobile Engineer at Alt, you will be responsible for building our mobile app experience from the ground up. We are looking for an experienced React Native engineer with a proven track record of building out mobile experiences that people love. Alt is growing fast and moving quickly so we need someone who can thrive in a high-growth startup environment. You will be instrumental in laying the foundation at Alt and will have the opportunity to shape the product and culture from an early stage.

YOU WILL:

• Scope, design, and implement the mobile app experience from the ground up
• Contribute to codebases using technologies like React Natve, GraphQL/Apollo, Python, Postgres, AWS
• Perform detailed code reviews and provide technical mentorship to engineers
• Work closely with designers and product managers to solve ambiguous user challenges

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer
• 5+ years of experience building mobile apps in React Native
• You are known for shipping lightning fast and making good trade-off decisions
• Excellent communication/writing skills
• Self-starter. You will be able to hit the ground running with little direction
