4. Client interview 2: Technical (Video Hands-on Technical Test) MANDATORY

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Experience: 

• Overall 8+ years of Java/J2EE software development experience
• At least 2 years of experience building and maintaining customer-facing APIs in modern REST frameworks

Must have skills:

• Expertise in Java (Preferred JDK 8)
• HTML5, Javascript
• AngularJS, Backbone
• System Design with SOA/REST/Microservices
• Relational Database: Oracle/MySQL
• NOSQL stores (MongoDB, Couchbase, Neo4J)
• JUnit, ScalaTest, Jbehave, Cucumber
• ElasticSearch/Solr
• AWS
• Build and dependency management tools like SBT, Gradle or Maven
• Unit Testing and Test Driven Development methodologies

Required Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills – direct client interaction
• Dynamic, energetic individuals 
• Confident and eager to learn

Nice to have:

• Experience with distributed systems, e.g. Mesos, Kubernetes, Spark, Hadoop, distributed databases, grid computing
• Bioinformatics experience
