Job Description

AltView is seeking a Desktop Analytics Developer to support DoD clients The Desktop Analytics Developer will be responsible for using Microsoft technologies to develop and maintain new capabilities for decision support, expanding the functionality of existing solutions to meet the needs of new requirements, and identifying data sources to integrate using modern and legacy systems, along with other duties as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Transform data using Power BI into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards and reports.

· Convert all data sources to interface/link with Microsoft Access and/or Excel Pivot Tables.

· Gather functional business requirements and translate them into technical ones.

· Integrate all data sources into one or multiple tables in a customized analytical format using MS Access.

· Create advanced charts in Excel.

· Develop or modify VBA code in MS Office to automate data collection and integration processes.

· Lead specialized analysis and development efforts for analysts and leaders.

· Lead/Conduct training classes on tools developed in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and other automation techniques.

· Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data analysis and integration of BI technologies. In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of related experience or relevant professional certification may be substituted.

· Aptitude and passion for learning new technologies and working with others who share that same interest.

· Must be able to work independently and sometimes odd hours.

· Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

· Experience in Microsoft Power BI, MS Excel, and Access or similar software tools

· Knowledgeable in linking software to data sources.

· Basic understanding of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

· Minimum 2 years of experience with DOD environment and Financial Management and Accounting processes and procedures or equivalent experience.

· Proficient in other Microsoft Office applications – MS Word, PowerPoint, & SharePoint

· Outstanding interpersonal communication with analysts and senior leaders (Colonels, Generals, and Executives).

· Possess a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across a large organization, managing diverse tasks, requirements, and commitments.
