Learning Coaches are teachers at heart, with none of the daunting duties of a traditional teacher.
You are a great candidate for this job if you can:
Instruct and assist students (one-on-one) on all academic subjects (ELA, Algebra, Geometry, etc.)
Work with students from diverse backgrounds who may be considered at-risk
Communicate professionally verbally, in writing, and through email
Administer discipline fairly
Learn and use specialized software, websites, and databases
Use data to make sound decisions regarding student academic growth and development
Qualifications:
Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail
Must be reliable and punctual
Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable
Tutoring and/or teaching high school students experience (minimum one year)
Minimum: Associate's degree in education or related field
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in education or related field
