ALTANOVA is now actively hiring for an Energy Analyst intern in our New York office.

This position is at the intersection of **Energy, Analytics & Data Science, and Sustainability **fields. We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in those three fields.

What will you be doing?

You will focus on the development of our microgrid optimization algorithm and the different R&D project that we have.

This will include:

• Construct models to predict the hourly energy consumption of buildings
• Develop different optimization levels to provide real-time management capabilities
• Improve our optimization algorithm to consider resiliency, electric vehicles, and available ancillary services of the grid
• Deploy our algorithm on the cloud to provide an "As a Service" solution

To join us, we need you to have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Operation Research, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• A Master's degree or current enrollment in a higher education program is a plus. Outstanding Bachelor's students in their final year will also be considered.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Familiar with continuous optimization methods (linear programming) and constraint optimization.
• Experience in renewable energy technologies (photovoltaics, wind, distributed generation), the energy industry, and/or microgrid development is a plus.
• Experience with statistical methods and machine learning algorithms. Familiarity with time series analysis is a plus.
