    Job Description

    An experienced leader in policy development and management, who will be responsible for identifying, developing, implementing and monitoring compliance with new accounting and finance policies as well as for updating and maintaining existing accounting and finance policies on a global basis. This individual will sit within the Corporate Controllership and will report to the Director, Technical Accounting and Finance Policies.
    This is a temporary role for six months, but could be extended for another six months.

    DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:
    • Work closely with the Corporate Controllership and Business Units to identify and develop new accounting and finance policies
    • Lead or participate in the implementation of new accounting and finance policies, and the development of global and local communications and training programs for the appropriate personnel impacted by such policies
    • Assist Technical Accounting in evaluating the impact of changes in accounting and financial reporting as a result of emerging accounting and financial reporting standards and requirements from various accounting authoritative bodies to determine gaps in or revisions to existing accounting and finance policies
    • Maintain and update existing accounting and finance policies, and manage policy database, exception logs and infrastructure
    • Respond to accounting and finance policies queries internally and externally, and regularly manage the policy email repository
    • Lead or participate in special projects, as necessary

    SKILLS REQUIRED:
    • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
    • 5-7+ years combined experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or large public company, preferably in the high-tech industry
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) required
    • In-depth and current knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations and internal controls
    • Excellent comprehension and ability to succinctly explain accounting implications and technical accounting requirements to non-accountants and other business partners
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and project management skills
    • Strong leadership in global cross-functional teams and projects, and adept in building relationships across the organization
    • Self-motivated and self-directed, but collaborative and works well with people, both on the same team and outside the team at all levels
    • Commitment to continuous process improvement
