    Job Description

    At Alvarez Tax Service LLC, our passion is assisting in the growth and development of our client’s financial future and ensuring their families' well-being. We are currently looking for a full-time, bilingual (English & Spanish) tax preparer for the upcoming tax season. Candidates must have 2 or more years of experience in preparing individual tax returns. A successful candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, have excellent verbal & written communication skills, be well organized, be able to prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines, and have a detail-oriented skillset.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare individual income tax returns including Schedules C & E
    • Communicating with clients by phone and email to collect tax information
    • Following up with clients regarding missing paperwork
    • Documenting notes in CRM system for each client
    • Tracking clients in CRM system
    • Respond to IRS & FTB correspondence
    • Provide tax return review and advisory services to optimize customer value
    • Recognize, anticipate, and resolve client tax issues and make recommendations
    • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations
    • Work with Tax Manager to resolve client concerns and issues

    Qualifications:

    • Bilingual in English and Spanish
    • Friendly Telephone and Verbal Communication Skills with Clients and Colleagues
    • 2+ years of individual tax return preparation with experience in preparing Schedules C & E
    • Proficient Microsoft Office Skills
    • Knowledge of UltraTax software (preferred)
    • CTEC licensed (required)
