    Closing Department - Accounting Legal Assistant We are seeking a sharp highly skilled and detail-oriented legal assistant to join our team in the office as a Closing Department Specialist at Amanda Demanda Law Group. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our firm's operations, focusing on reducing medical bills and managing financial transactions using QuickBooks. If you’re an excellent multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: Medical Bill Reduction: • Verify and organize medical bills and execute appropriate follow-up procedures. • Negotiate medical bills with third parties to achieve reductions. • Draft and email/fax reduction letters to be sent to third parties. • Handle communication interactions by phone, fax, and email with third parties and clients. • Perform general office clerk duties as needed. • Handle incoming calls and other communication interactions with third parties. • Prepare closing statements. Financial Management: • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate records of financial transactions. • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner. • Reconcile accounts and prepare financial reports for management review. • Create and distribute closing statements on client cases. • Sort and update required forms and documentation. • Record information as needed. • Prepare and circulate reports as needed. Team Collaboration: • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members to support case resolution and financial management efforts. • Assist with answering phones and handling client inquiries as needed. Qualifications: • Proven experience in medical bill negotiation and reduction within the personal injury legal industry. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong bookkeeping skills. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to personal injury billing is a plus. • Must be Bilingual - English and Spanish. Compensation: $48,500
