Location: South San Francisco, CA

Start Date: Immediate

Compensation: $150,000 base salary

Benefits:

• Vehicle allowance: Approximately $700 per month
• 401K with SafeHarbor (3% of gross payroll)

Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Piping Estimator to become a vital part of our construction team. The role demands expertise in bid proposal preparation, precise quantity takeoffs, efficient subcontractor coordination, and relationship cultivation within the construction industry. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a piping estimator, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently.

Key Responsibilities: As a Piping Estimator, your daily responsibilities will encompass:

• Thoroughly reviewing project plans, requirements, and specifications to ensure accurate bid proposals.
• Utilizing our internal take-off software to execute precise quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
• Calculating labor and construction equipment costs.
• Coordinating and preparing subcontractor quotes for bids.
• Developing conceptual estimates.
• Efficiently managing multiple ongoing projects.
• Meeting strict bidding deadlines and pricing exercises.
• Initiating requisitions for material procurement.
• Evaluating competitive vendor pricing.
• Collaborating on preliminary quotes and pre-bid estimates with senior estimators.
• Participating in job site inspections and coordination meetings when necessary.
• Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications:
