    The Ideal Candidate

You, as the ideal candidate, are very detail-oriented and understand the exacting nature of public works and private bidding and the detailed process of identifying the project scope, collecting subcontractor bids, and assembling the proposal package to communicate how you (as the general contractor) intend to build the client’s project. You enjoy and excel in high-detail work and bring your past construction administration experience to support our client’s bidding efforts.

You understand the meaning of construction lingo such as project duration and phases, milestones, liquidated damages, insurance requirements, bonding requirements, GC prequalification requirements, subcontractor pre-qualification, DIR registration, CSLB license numbers, and DVBE outreach. This is not new territory for you because you have created bid schedules, maintained subcontractor lists, managed the paperwork to ensure subcontractors are paid properly, and that they are properly certified, insured, and bonded.

You will have a successful track record of managing the proposal, bid, and subcontractor management process for public and private ground-up general contracting work.

Teamwork is second nature to you so you enjoy working with a small team of highly competent professionals with high standards. If something is new you are not concerned with your ego to ask questions and learn and you enjoy teaching others with patience.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving ownership skills and be able to make the most of the high-level of support this position will be afforded and provide to the other team members.
