Responsibilities

Job Summary:

PACU experience required; at least 1 year of dedicated PACU experience within the past 3 years.

Location: Bakersfield, CA

Certs required: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Common Cases: General surgery, GYN, Robotics, Podiatry, Ortho, Urology, Vascular

Experience or "Must have" skills: Preop/ambulatory experience and PACU experience,

Ambulatory recovers OP and IR pts post op for phase 2.

Weekend requirement: no weekends

Call requirements: no call

Floating requirements: Yes, to PACU

General Facility Requirements (testing/experience):

MUST have at least 1-year of recent acute experience in their

specialty

EKG interpretation mandatory for all Periop RN, including OR RN.

EMR: Cerner

Medication Dispensing System: Omnicell

brand Cardiac Monitors: Phillips

brand IV pumps: Alaris

PICC & midlines from 730a-430p M-F & on-call on weekends

General Facility Orientation: 3 days of general hospital orientation.

Training on TEAM

(timekeeping system) is done during orientation.--5 days of orientation between new hire orientation and pathway education requirements
