  • Responsibilities

    Position Overview:

    Responsible for performing human resources-related duties on a professional level and working closely with the Human Resources Manager in supporting designated locations. Responsibilities include the following functional areas: talent acquisition, employee engagement & relations, payroll & benefits administration, training, and employment law compliance.

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Talent Acquisition:

      • Support full-cycle recruiting process through engagement with candidates, hiring managers, and staffing agencies

      • Manage and update job descriptions, post requisitions, conduct interview screening, and hiring manager interview scheduling, process reference, and background investigations, and conduct new hire orientation

    • Payroll:

      • Process biweekly payroll through Kronos for salary/ hourly coworkers and weekly payroll for temporary staff

      • Maintain all hourly personnel files and Workday records in an organized, accurate, and up to-date manner. This includes self-audits of all files, records, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with all legal requirements.

      • Tracks attendance and notify leadership of attendance corrective actions and track all hourly, non-exempt disciplinary actions

      • Submit biweekly, monthly, and quarterly financial and human resources reports

    • Employee Engagement:

      • Plan, organize, and direct administration of engagement activities/services such as service awards, picnics, communication boards, charity campaigns, and recognition activities
    • Employee Relations:

      • Promote positive employee relations through design, communication, and interpretation of HR policies and programs that support company objectives

      • Assist with investigations and employee suggestions/complaints through fact-finding methods and provide managers with guidance toward resolution of the complaint or disposition of the suggestion with the support of the Human Resources Manager

      • Assist with the collection of information and data for external claims

      • Notify leadership of upcoming hourly reviews and ensures reviews are completed in a timely manner

    Benefits:

    • Administer benefits programs by explaining programs to employees and working with the Corporate Benefits area to resolve benefits problems

    • Assist with administration of LOA documents such as FMLA, STD, and LTD and tracking of employees on LOA

    • Training and Development

    • Maintain training records and assist with training events

    • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems

    • Stay abreast of current developments in employee relations and/or legal requirements through readings, professional associations, and seminars.

    • Partner and support the EHS team on workers’ compensation issues and actively support the company safety program and initiatives

    • Assist Human Resources Manager with other duties and tasks as required, including employee relations activities and services.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • 3 years of experience in Human Resources required; manufacturing experience preferred PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCP certifications are preferred

    • Thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local labor regulations

    • Experience with payroll processing and partnering with finance

    • Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication and organizational skills.

    • Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our team

    • Good organizational/time management skills and efficient use of computer software is essential

    • Valid driver’s license

    • Travel 5-10%

    Pay Transparency Addendum

    The pay range for the above referenced position is determined by taking into account many factors such as experience, qualifications, certifications, skills, education and other business-related factors. Salary decisions are based on each job. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75k to $80k annually.
